Arshad is an educationist with 38 years of experience in sub sectors such as, educational planning, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, research, curriculum and material development, training of teachers, capacity building of education managers, assessment, advocacy and upstream policy work for reforms. He possesses a Master Degrees in ‘Anthropology’ as well as in ‘Educational Planning and Management’. Arshad has conceived, designed, implemented, and/or coordinated a number of projects relating to Early Childhood Education (ECE), Primary Education, Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education, teacher training, capacity building of education managers, and assessment of learning outcomes of students. After serving for 13 years in the Federal Ministry of Education, Literacy and Mass Education Commission and 18 years in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Arshad Khan retired in 2013 from the regular (Fixed Term) position of ‘Senior Education Specialist’. After retirement; he has undertaken numerous consultancy assignments with various national and international organizations.
