Athar as Financial Manager, is responsible for the delivery of financial management and accounting services provided by the FSSP. His main duties and responsibilities include; Administering and monitoring financial; Administering timely payments to suppliers, contractors and Technical Specialists; Tracking and monitoring project funds, budgets and expenses; Preparing Financial Reports; Providing financial advice related to local laws and regulations; Reviewing DFATD development project’s Financial Reports. Prior to this Athar has worked with a Software & IT services company (Gulf Net Pakistan) as Chief Operating Officer and with an Energy project as a Senior Financial Officer (Hunt Petroleum).
He has also worked as an Audit Supervisor and received five-year training in auditing, accounting and business laws while working with a Chartered Accountant firm (KMR Chartered Accountants). In these positions, he was responsible for management, planning and execution of the operations, preparing Business Proposals, Audits of large and mid-size organizations & companies, Software & ERP management, Contracts management, feasibilities & bids for Development, IT, Software and Energy projects. Athar has also worked with the CIDA funded Program Support Unit (PSU) and has performed assignments similar to FSSP including financial due diligence and audit arrangements.
