Amina is the Senior Program Officer at the FSSP and also provides ad hoc Governance Advice to the GAC development section. She has a Masters in Development from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex and a Bachelor (Hons) form the Lahore University of Management Sciences. This is complemented by over 15 years of work experience in the field of international development with the RSPs, UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Department for International Development (DFID). Prior to her role as Senior Programme Manager, Amina’s focus was on Governance, political analysis and elections. She has also worked in areas such as Humanitarian Assistance, Microfinance, Climate Change, Social Mobilization and Small and Medium Enterprise.
She has been involved in the planning, executive and monitoring of programs and has undertaken substantial line management and financial responsibilities. Amina has spent the last few years of her career in senior leadership roles both in a managerial and advisory capacity. her work has included managing large teams spread across complex and often fragile environments. And has worked with a wide range of interlocutors including governments, bi-lateral donors, UN agencies, think tanks and commercial suppliers. She has strong relationship building and networking skills along with great organizational and management abilities.
